Jasmine McGill “R.T.” (R), the daughter of Darlene Adams and Ricky McGill received a degree in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology from York Technical College, Rock Hill, South Carolina on May 10th. McGill completes the program with a 4.0 GPA. Following her graduation, she scored a 95 on her National registry exam in Radiologic Technology and ranked the second highest among her peers. Completion of the exam, gives her national credibility with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in the United States. Radiologic technologists perform diagnostic imaging examinations and are responsible for accurately positioning patients, delivering the lowest radiation dose possible during each examination, and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced. They are educated in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection and basic patient care.
McGill begins her career as registered Radiologic Technologist this fall while also continuing her education in an online Radiation Sciences program at Armstrong State University out of Savannah, GA.
